You get the same product but now have to pay more for it. I don’t know about you, but I’m certainly not seeing any shortage in the cow population. That just doesn’t seem fair. Be Prepared!!

It is a simple fact that the more prepared you are for something, the easier it will be. That is true for moving as well. The more organized and prepared you are the better your move will be. As someone with very poor organizational skills, I know how difficult this can be. My friends even joke that if my head wasn’t attached to me I would loose it! I am always stressing out when it comes to moving, even though I do it so often. It always seems like I have a million things that I never had before and they have all somehow scattered themselves throughout my home! I bet you can imagine how that usually goes. I end up running around like a chicken with my head cut off because I’ve waited until the last minute. Trust me; it is no fun trying to pack up everything you own the day before your move is scheduled. One sure way to avoid that is to begin packing things as soon as you’re certain that you’re moving. I would start packing the things that I don’t use on a regular basis. Once I have that done, I would start packing up the clothes that I’m not wearing. If it is 100 degrees outside you aren’t going to be wearing any sweaters or scarves, are you? The next thing I would do would be to start organizing everything. The more organized you are with your belongings the easier it will be to pack everything up for your move. In my opinion, packing is half the battle and once you have that done it is smooth sailing from then on. That will cut down on the time it takes for the movers to load the truck because they can just come in quickly and get everything. If you are one of those “do-it-yourself” kinds of people you should try to have the basic disassembly done. All My Sons can do this for you but the more you have done yourself, the less time it will take to get your move done. Personally, I like to let the movers handle everything. It is worth it to me to pay a little more and not have to lift a finger! Another good idea is to label your boxes as you pack them. I like to put colored tabs on each box and then next to the door of the room they are going to so that the movers don’t even have to ask me where they need to put the boxes.
